About Me

Founder of Affiluma | Affiliate Marketer, Content Creator & Online Business Educator

You want to earn money online.

But before you invest your time, sign up for another platform, or pay for a course, you want an honest answer: Is this actually worth pursuing?

That is the question behind my work.

My name is Franck Chanda, and I created Affiluma to help beginners understand affiliate marketing, explore online income opportunities, and make better decisions about the tools and programs they use.

I investigate ways to make money online so you can see what’s legitimate, what’s worth your time, and what’s hype.

Here, I share practical lessons, honest reviews, and clear explanations you can use even if you are starting with no website, no audience, and no previous experience.

My Story: From Delivery Work to Affiliate Marketing

I am originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and live in South Africa.

I earned my degree in Industrial Engineering at Vaal University of Technology.

But having a qualification did not make finding work straightforward.

When I struggled to find employment, I turned to Uber Eats deliveries.

Some days started at 8 in the morning and ended at 10 at night. I know what it feels like to put in long hours while looking for a way to create more options for yourself.

That search led me to explore making money online.

In 2018, I came across a review by Eddy Salomon on Work at Home No Scams that introduced me to Wealthy Affiliate.

That became the starting point of my affiliate marketing journey.

I began learning how websites, useful content, and product recommendations could work together as a business.

There was plenty to understand: choosing a niche, reaching the right people, explaining products, and earning readers’ trust.

My engineering background also shapes how I approach online opportunities.

I want to understand how something works, what it costs, where it can fail, and whether the results justify the effort.

Those are the questions I bring to the content I create today.

Why I Created Affiluma

You may have known my previous website, The Wealthy Academy. After losing the domain, I started again with Affiluma.com, the new home for my work and training.

Starting again is part of my story, too.

Experience does not mean you avoid every setback. It gives you something to build on when the next one happens.

Affiluma stands Affiliate + Illuminate you are here to Learn. Build. Promote. Grow.

These four words describe the approach I teach:

  • Learn: Understand your audience, the problem they want to solve, and how an online business earns money.
  • Build: Create useful content, a website, and an email list that give people a reason to trust you and return.
  • Promote: Recommend relevant products and explain who they suit, what they cost, and where their limits are.
  • Grow: Review your results, improve what needs attention, and keep developing your skills.

My aim is to make each step easier to understand and easier to put into practice.

What You Will Find Here

Affiliate marketing is at the heart of Affiluma. I teach beginners how to choose a focused niche, check that people want a solution, select a main affiliate offer, and build content around real buying questions.

I also cover the wider world of online work and income:

  • Freelancing and remote jobs: Skills, opportunities, and platforms to investigate when looking for work online.
  • Side hustles and earning apps: A closer look at surveys, rewards platforms, and other ways to earn extra money, including the time and restrictions involved.
  • Tools for creators and online businesses: Reviews and tutorials covering website building, email marketing, content creation, and audience growth.
  • Passive income: How income-producing content and systems can work, including the effort needed to build and maintain them.

A platform can be legitimate and still be a poor use of your time.

A course can contain useful information and still be wrong for your budget or stage of business. I want my content to help you recognise those differences.

How I Approach Reviews

When you read a review here, you should understand what the opinion is based on.

When I test a platform myself, I share my experience.

That can include what I did, the difficulties I encountered, and any results I can document. My experience is one example; your results may differ.

When I have not purchased or used a program, I say so.

I may analyse its public information, pricing, terms, customer feedback, and claims. I distinguish that research from firsthand testing.

I cannot buy every course or use every tool on the internet. What I can do is be clear about the evidence available and the limits of my assessment.

The questions I care about include:

  • What will you actually do to earn money or get value from this?
  • What are the full costs, including additional tools?
  • Are there eligibility rules, location restrictions, or withdrawal conditions?
  • How much time and skill does it require?
  • Who is it suitable for—and who should look elsewhere?

A payment screenshot or a persuasive sales page cannot answer all of those questions.

A Note About Affiliate Links

Affiliate marketing is part of how I earn money from my content. Some links on Affiluma are affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you sign up or purchase through them.

I disclose these relationships so you can take them into account when reading my recommendations.

Wealthy Affiliate is one of the platforms I use and recommend for people interested in learning affiliate marketing.

I joined in 2018, and I explain its role in my own journey openly.

As with any paid program, I encourage you to consider whether its features, costs, and approach fit your needs.

You should understand why a product may help you before spending money on it.
